MY STORY

My first touch into the arts' world was when I was 9 years old and used to paint slums and its people on MDF boards, adding three dimensional details in plasta to corners of buildings, trees, people and streets.

As a teenager and born in a developing country before moving to Australia, other priorities took place and started studies to enter the market place. It was in 2008 after a visit to the Kimberley in Western Australia with a great friend of mine that I first met the Giant Boab Trees, which have simply captivated me to a level I never experienced before and the only way I had to express my appreciation for this beautiful and the unexplainable source of positive energy, was through sculpturing this magnificent nature's creation.

The Boab Tree's trunk is unique and is guaranteed to make one smile. All my Boab creations are inspired in real living trees.

From the lush green Australian Eastern Coast, magnificent South Coast, naturally beautiful Western Australia, big enough crocodiles in the Northern Territory and vast deserts merging into the coastal regions of this country, you will find in The Kimberley, Western Australia, the Boab Tree.

Of all the beautiful nature I had the opportunity to see and be part throughout my life; I found most fascinating the power the giant Boab Tree had on people. The Boab is not just a regular tree you see down the street in most places, its presence is a statement of survival from many hundreds to thousands of years, bringing joy to people who record its character in photographs. It has certainly captivated me, maybe just like the little prince and rose by poet and pioneering aviator Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. The Kimberley Boab Tree is unique and now you have the unique opportunity to take a piece of this magnificent creation home with you.

My Boab Trees are not just a home décor or souvenir item. They are all inspired on living trees and most I had the opportunity to see with my own eyes. Although it is a small scale, it still displays its personality, presence and beauty. I hope every time you look at your tree, for those who have met a Boab before, to take you back and remember how it made you feel and for those who are yet to meet one, although they live hundreds to thousands of years, we do not, so hurry up and meet a Boab soon and fascinate yourself.

Have a great Boab day.
